TAROT PAINTING
The 'Tarot Paintings' series explores the unconscious through Tarot readings and meditation. I strive to extract the figurative image of a state of Being captured at the moment of the reading. Each painting expresses an emotion or feeling unique to that instant but universal to us all at different points in our lives. The idea is to create a window into the unconscious, inviting others to connect with it and explore their inner world. Their raised presentation evokes a playful sense, a consistent thread in my work. Each piece is accompanied by a short, raw text, written in the moment, further illustrating the state being portrayed.
MIND -MYTHOLOGY
The 'Mind-Mythology' series is a direct evolution from the 'Tarot' series. Here, the primal rawness of emotions gives way to a more thoughtfully crafted visualization. The sketches evolve into representations of human and animal bodies, creating works that are both playful and poetic. These metaphorical visuals continue to convey inner truths while exploring color, geometry, and three-dimensionality. My color choices are deliberate, creating a strong contrast between the subject and the background to reinforce the impression that the work belongs to the dreamlike realm. The interplay of different planes aims to awaken the viewer’s inner child, evoking nostalgia for wooden shape puzzles, where even a slight misalignment would prevent the pieces from fitting properly, symbolizing the delicate precision required for assembly.
TALE OF WOMEN
By addressing the female subject, I attempt a visual deconditioning of the heroine from a fairy tale or myth. She is presented nude, in a "realistic" style, to free her from the ties and restrictions of her story. The one who was often reduced to her gender or sexuality (virgin, mother, whore...) becomes a complex being. The world around her, however, stands in total opposition to the representation of the main subject. In animated films, characters are confined by outlines and simplified due to the constraints of animation. In this series, I use the same technique, but to force the fairy tale's universe and its characters into a state of powerlessness and harmlessness. The fairy tale characters continue to act in harmony with their world, but the Heroine becomes disconnected and free from her narrative.
